Lewis visits, Froot makes a statement

May 8, 2017

The weekend of May 6-7 was full of pool events around the state of Florida. We drew a nice 47 players for our Amateur 9-Ball Event at Uncle Waldo’s in Daytona Beach, FL. This was a great draw even though we expected players to be attending other events. We had Florida’s usual suspects present in the likes of Michael DeLawder, Nathan Rose, Benji Buckley, and a surprise visit from Josh “Speed Demon” Lewis.

There were a lot of very close matches as well as a lot of runaway sets being played by a lot of new faces on the Florida Pool Tour. In his first year as an adult player on tour, Adam Froot (18yrs) reached his highest finish yet in 4th place right behind regular top player Les Duffy. Froot manage to post wins over Michell Monk, Robert Batson, Les Duffy and Jimmy Garza. Losing out to Josh Lewis and finally Les.

We would like to thank AJ, Tony, and Patti Condercuri for their hospitality and support for pool in the Daytona Beach areas. They took ownership of the pool room about 2 years ago and since then have made great strides in making this room a fixture for pool in the Daytona area and on the Florida Pool Tour. The food was excellent, the service was friendly.

Our next stop is in Jacksonville, FL at 9-Ball Heaven June 17-18. Thank you to all of the players who continually support the Florida Pool Tour because without you , it is just another tour.
